Description
A superb Louis XV commode of serpentine form, veneered in kingwood and tulipwood with ormolu mounts of exceptional quality. The marble top is original, and the commode retains much of its original gilding. The fluid, rocaille-inspired mounts are characteristic of the finest ébénistes of the period.

Condition Report
Original marble top with minor chips to edges. Ormolu mounts retain approximately 80% of original gilding. Some veneer restoration to the sides. Structurally sound.
