Untitled (Striped Oval)

About this piece

Arnaldo Pomodoro (1926–2025) was one of Italy's leading postwar sculptors, best known for his monumental fractured bronze spheres in public spaces from the Vatican to the United Nations. In this 1967 lithograph a striped coral-and-pink oval floats over a textured yellow field crossed by dark diagonal bands, echoing the 'written' surfaces of his reliefs. Artwork is sold unframed. The frame shown is for display purposes only and is not included.
