Rooster (state 1 – black)

About this piece

Bob Stanley (1932–1997) was a New York Pop-era painter known for translating photographs and commercial imagery into bold, flat color. This is the first state of his 1979 Rooster portfolio: a strutting rooster on a fence rail drawn in confident black line, the starting point for the two progressively colored states that follow. Artwork is sold unframed. The frame shown is for display purposes only and is not included.
